Research Fellowship

Who We're Looking For
Eligibility
Fellowships are competitive and assessed by a faculty panel. Strong applications pair solid academic credentials with a proposal that speaks directly to Nepal's tourism and hospitality sector.
- 1A recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- 2A clear research, teaching, or exchange proposal aligned with NATHM's focus areas
- 3Two academic or professional references
- 4Proficiency in English; knowledge of Nepali is an advantage for fieldwork

Fellowships are open to graduates and academics holding a recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline. Specific requirements vary by track and are confirmed in each fellowship announcement.
No. You submit your proposal first; selected fellows are matched with a faculty supervisor during onboarding based on the focus area of their work.
Support varies by track and by the announcement under which you apply. Contact the academic office for the current terms, including any stipend, facilities access, or travel provisions attached to a given fellowship.
Yes. The International Exchange track exists specifically for collaboration with partner institutions abroad, and international applicants are considered for the research track where their proposal aligns with NATHM's focus areas.
