Purpose of the course

The purpose of the course is to train qualified work force that can assist and lead adventure lovina tourists in the rivers of Nepal. The theoretical classes will be conducted at NATHM and the practical course will be done at the river side. At the end of the completion of the course, the successful candidates will be awarded a certificate jointly issued by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation and Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management.

General Objective

The key objective of this training course is to impart higher knowledge, skills and attitude on different issues and subject matters related to rafting tourism in Nepal.

Duration

The course is of two weeks duration with 60 lesson hours and two days of practical training at the river side.

Introduction

The purpose of this course is to produce trained and skilled nature guides.

Course Objective

1.To impart knowledge and understanding of protected areás and national parks of Nepal.

2. To provide knowledge in Flora and Fauna of national park/ conservation area.

 3. To develop guiding and communication skills.

4. To develop professional attitudes.

Duration:

Full time -10 days (72 hours).
